miguez Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Two buddies and myself were on a multiplayer, and one of them engaged an enemy Mi-24 with guns, and hit him three different times. On the third it was pretty clear the enemy lost engine power, and started loosing altitude fast. We were only about 200 meters above some pretty mountainous terrain, and all three of us watched in awe as the Mi-24 made a very decent autorotation with gear up and some forward speed, flared very well, skidded through the terrain for what seemed like 50 meters, then came to rest with the rotor still moving and the helo on fire. Some short seconds after that it exploded. It was so realistic that one of us was saying "Are they getting out/ Are they going to get out?" referring to the pilots! One of the comments made by me is that that scene alone was worth my $50 for this simulation. Absolutely amazing!

miguez Posted January 20, 2009 Author Posted January 20, 2009 in your temp folder is a.mzn.trk did you get it out and how about some awesome pics of that.... Hey GF_Mastiff, i didn't find any track files by that name. I found one by the name "LastMissionTrack.trk", which got me hopeful, until i realized I had flown after this multiplayer and the last one was not it. Then I found files with names such as "client-20090118-155833.miz.trk", I have about 8 of these with different dates, but none of them were the multiplayer. I did get it recorded in Tacview, but as soon as the Mi-24 is considered "dead", it disappears from Tacview, which it didn't in the game, as I described above.
