diveplane Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 first off check that dust protection is enabled in overhead panel to the right switch in up position. ,dust can choke the inlets and kill motors. loose lift =boom , the dust protection will prevent this from happening. also watch the decent rate. when landing . only in dry conditions youll need the dust protection on. https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.

skypirate Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 I believe the engine of the game is the cause. If you touch down on the fields away from road or pad or airfield it appears that the ground sort of sucks the wheels and it becomes extremely dangerous to make further moves. I managed to take off and land many times though very precise hovering and gentle touch down and then gentle lift off is required :joystick:. Add the wind direction into consideration. Otherwise the heli will try to turn into the wind which with the "glued" to the ground wheels will make it flip and BOOM... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]Regards!
diveplane Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 no problems here landing on grass fields. https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.
71st_Mastiff Posted January 21, 2009 Author Posted January 21, 2009 (edited) Well I think it might be the moded textures from DragonRR, I put those in, very good work by the way; and then I tried to land next to the parking area in the field and I just blow up. SixMarbles Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 It's hit or miss for me. Sometimes I have no problem at all, yet sometimes in an external view I see the wheels pulled completely or partially below the ground. When I try to take off, one or more wheels will often become stuck. This also happens occasionally on paved parking areas in front of hangars at the airfields, but never on taxiways, runways or aircraft parking ramps. Oh, and taxiing on anything but airfields usually results in my helicopter flipping over, even with collective bottomed out.
