LOW_Hitman Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 (edited) Hi all! I mentioned a strange issue with my F14. The positionslights (on the wingtips) only work when iam on the ground. After the takeoff they stop working. Is this a bug or maybe iam doing something wrong? best regards Edited January 23, 2023 by LOW_Hitman i9-9900K / Bios Profile XMP2 / Rog Strix Z-390F Gaming / ASUS TUF Geforce RTX 4070Ti Super / 32GB HyperX Fury 2666 / Saitek X52 HOTAS / Pico 4
Callsign JoNay Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 If there is any wing sweep at all, the wing tip lights are replaced by the wing glove lights. 6
Tomcatter87 Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 (edited) I noticed that the wing tip lights are sometimes on, sometimes off (I set them to bright and turned master ext lights on, of course). Is there some kind of logic behind it - and, if @Callsign JoNay is right, is it supposed to be that way? Golo Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 (edited) From NAVAIR 01-F14AAP-1 2.36.1.1 Position Lights. When the wing-sweep angle is forward of 25°, the wingtip position lights are operational; when the wings are swept aft of 25°, the wingtip position lights are disabled and the glove position lights are operational. When operating in steady mode with the nose gear down and locked and the wings forward of 25°, both the wingtip position lights and the glove position lights are operational. The position lights are powered from the right main ac bus through the exterior lights master relay. Note: When the anticollision lights are on, the flasher for the position lights is disabled and the lights revert to steady. Edited November 23, 2023 by Golo 1 1
