I think the training section could use some improvements. Here's what I would like to see

  • give us an option to fly a training campaign -
  • a seperate mission for each navigation system- then one where put everything together
  • some simple missions where we put everything together. Some might be against drones and static targets followed by some against live targets

Agree. Kind of "Transition to AC xxx course". Especially in VR it's hard since you cannot reference any documentation. And I find that the instructions fade away too quickly.

I would like a "introduction to xxx" with voice overs. But for the actual training - keep everything you need to now in the Kneeboard since the Briefing pauses everything and hides the cockpit.

A better knee board is needed. I figure the format would be an intro with a voice over then you do a mission with a Kneeboard to help.

I'm going to shamelessly plug https://github.com/OpenKneeboard/OpenKneeboard#readme🙂

While custom kneeboards (like are in the excellent Iron Flag A-10C training campaign from @baltic_dragon) are ideal, it does give you in-VR access to most of the briefing; it gives you the text, images, weather, and (if you're in an A-10C) A-10C CDU calculations. The briefing support is really handy for the older or more basic campaigns, like the Ka-50 Georgian Oil War.

it does not currently include the armament summary, friendly forces, threats, or airfield info from the briefing though. I think my knowledge of DCS lua and .miz file layout is the limiting factor there 😛

I don't provide any support for any of my software on these forums, or accept bug reports or feature requests on these forums. If you need help with one of my projects, the project documentation may directly address your problem, and tell you where/if help is available
