Talisman_VR Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 Would like to be able to look back and see troops in the back and see them embark and disembark. Very much looking forward to this helicopter. Happy landings, Talisman 23 1
Gruman Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Yes, Chinook would look way to empty. But this should be done for all aircrafts (Huey, MI-8, Future C130, C-47 and dont forget support for mods without SDK access -> UH60). 10 Intel I9 10900k @5.1GHz | MSI MEG Z490 Unify | Corsair Vengeance 64GB - 3600MHz | EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 VPC T-50 Base /w Viper & Hornet Grip | VPC Rotor TCS Pro w/ Hawk-60 Grip | TM TPR LG C2 42" | Reverb G2 | TIR 5 | PointCtrl | OpenKneeboard
SilentSierra Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 I expect this feature since UH-1H early access. For all transport aircrafts would be nice to see troops embarked like Arma 3. 9 CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D MOBO: Asus ROG STRIX B650E-E MEM: Kingston FURY Renegade 64GB DDR5 5200MHz SSD: Kingstone Fury Renegade NVME PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD 4TB GPU: ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 4090 OC CASE: Cooler Master TD500 Mesh WATER COOLER: Cooler Master Master Liquid ML360 Illusion HT: TrackIR 5 VR: HP Reverb G2 V2 HOTAS: TM HOTAS Warthog RUDDER: TPR Rudder Pedals GRIP: TM F/A-18C GRIP WHEELS: Logitech G27 OS: Win 11 Pro 23H2 SIMS: DCS World, Falcon BMS, IL-2 Sturmovik, MSFS2020, Arma 3, Assetto Corsa.

Happy landings, Talisman The MSFS Miltech Chinook has the ability for you to see troops, cargo, boat, medevac in the back so I'm sure it's possible for DCS. 4

Great! What are DCS waiting for! I must go and have a look at the MSFS Miltech Chinook. Happy landings, Talisman Edited June 15, 2024 by Talisman_VR 2
Talisman_VR Posted August 11, 2024 Author Posted August 11, 2024 Nice to see all the 'likes'. But will it ever happen ED? Happy landings, Talisman 2
BeforeBroadband Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 (edited) Do we need to beg, ED? I can somewhat understand that in the past this may have been an extremely low priority, but now that we've begun getting official flyable unarmed transports in the game, the time for this to be implemented has come. Actually, it seems like every few newsletters you announce some random upcoming visual feature like highly detailed pilot eyelashes or aircraft tire flex. Surely, being able to see (even lower texture) personnel that you're carrying in a combat game makes sense, right? The larger the aircraft get, the worse seeing no troops feels. Is the back of the C-130 gonna be empty too? Edited August 15, 2024 by BeforeBroadband 5
Slippa Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 I keep on about this. About the lack of a simple ground crew too and, ya know, a bit of life on the airfields. It’s getting painfully more obvious. Look at all those empty seats in the Chinook. Come on ED, have a look around. Send a scout out to check out humans being simulated in other software. May as well chuck in the ability to drive a vehicle on and off it too. 2
Dangerzone Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Driving a vehicle on and off would be epic. Even better if we can drive one off while the hook is flying a feet off the ground at 70kts. Knight rider anyone? 2
Slippa Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 I saw one displaying last month. They flew in, landed and dropped the ramp. A soldier came tearing down it on a quad bike and shot off and knowing we had our Chinny on it’s way said “We want one of those”. Eightball’s made a decent Humvee, we could have those, quad bikes, troops, the lot. If we were to somehow be granted all of these, I’d be asking for a set of minis and gold bullion cargo for recreating The Italian Job . 1
