St4RgAz3R Posted February 4, 2023 Posted February 4, 2023 (edited) Hi, is there some way to increase the TGP visibility range? I get no image display when 40 nm or above in the TGP but as soon as you go below 40 nm the image starts to pop out. Is this a DCS limitation thing or real TGP limitation? Visibility range is set to extreme in options. It would help with JSOW employment if you could see further with the TGP Edited February 4, 2023 by St4RgAz3R 1
St4RgAz3R Posted February 4, 2023 Author Posted February 4, 2023 Well that's a bummer. I guess that also means when the sniper pod eventually comes out which has greater magnification will be same 40 nm range limited. I hope they think of how to overcome this limitation
skywalker22 Posted February 4, 2023 Posted February 4, 2023 Does the param "Visib Range" in Options got anything to do with TGP's viewing distance? One more thing, I will ask here, what does the number of "Preload Radius" represents? Thousands of feet, or 1/1000nm, or is it something else?
Bunny Clark Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 The hard line between rendering and not rendering is a DCS limitation. IRL, you still won't get a useful image out of it at 40nm, but it would look like a blurry / pixilated mess rather than just cutting off entirely. 1 1 Oil In The Water Hornet Campaign.
