Heroman30 Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 Hello, So I’m thinking about purchasing a Dell Optiplex 7040 to use as a dedicated server to play liberation missions. The server box I’m looking at will have 16GB of ram. Is this enough in order to play heavy liberation missions (just me as a client) on Syria? For context my main gaming rig is a 5800X3D, 64GB ram, RTX 3080. I think I’m experiencing rubber banding as I’m currently using a dedi on my own rig, hence the reason why I’m looking at getting another machine. Thanks!
HC_Official Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 16G should be enough for a single server instance No more pre-orders Click here for tutorials for using Virpil Hardware and Software Click here for Virpil Flight equipment dimensions and pictures. .
Maverick87Shaka Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 16GB is fine for a single server, so no problem on that. Take care about the CPU configuration of the Optiplex 7040, since it's a complete line up starting from cheap cpu that can handle just a light firewall, up to good i7 to run server.
