Don't know if it's user error or is the radar really that bad? Sometimes I think "ok I'm figuring out the radar elevation" then can't lock something 2-20 miles away and telemetry never locks anything period so I end up going to guns cause by the time you try to shoot a magic (which takes forever to come off the rail) I have them at gun range anyways. Sorry for the rant cause I love flying the F1 but that's the only enjoyable part about it.

Are you ensuring that you're attempting the lock while the target is visible in the scan pattern. I've found that once the radar moves to another bar and the target isn't visible in that bar it won't lock.

I figured it out finally. The radar elevation I had messed up. I thought "E" was feet and "D" was degree. (Makes sense but I guess not)

Lol, it is actually D for Feet and E for degree?

Maybe that explains why I also never really figured it out.
I tend to use 4 bar if I am not sure where the bandit is and 1 bar when I know where it is, while in both cases trying to be on a similar or same altitude as the bandit.
