obious Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 Hi All, I took delivery of a new Pico 4 yesterday, installed Streaming Assistant (as I plan to use a USB cable), set all settings in the headset to max (ie 90fps, ultra quality), set SteamVR SS at 150% (just as an experiment) and to my disbelief when I put on the headset the image was horrible. The image looked like something I used to get from my OG Rift; the resolution was awful. I even opened up fpsVR to see what my system was doing and the GPU frame time was around 9ms so my system was obviously being maxed out and trying to push as many pixels to the headset as possible but for some reason, the device wasn't rendering them. Anyone have the same experience? Intel 12900k @ 5.2Ghz, RTX 4090, Samsung 1TB NVME, Thrustmaster Warthog & F-18 stick, Pendular Rudder Pedals - Quest Pro AV8B N/A UFC Build Log AV8B N/A PCBs for sale
Slammin Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 Might want to check your steamvr.vrsettings / "maxRecommendedResolution" : 16384, Mine always resets to something like 3280 whenever I reboot and I have to manually put it back to 16384. It may have something to do with my having two HMD's connected, G2 and 8KX but I'm not sure.
