A question on your video card, and is it still able to handle the demands of DCS, and VR too?

Are you using the native resolution of the G2, or are you trying a higher render resolution?

I'm currently rendering (I'm optimizing, for my 3060TI) in 4700x2500 (rounded) and don't use MSAA for that at the moment.

Otherwise almost everything is low.

what i can observe What works great on the Caucasus, even with even higher settings, doesn't work well on the Mariannas.

I have to reduce the forest visibility from 100% to 35-40% to have a smooth experience again.

I'm not sure what you mean.

What should you set where to have what effect?

On the Mariannas I was now able to lash over the trees fluently for the most part ;)...

Have you tried my settings or groped your way?

You mean the FOV at 0.8/0.8 for example, or what do you mean?

@derneuemannMy resolution for the Reverb G2 is 100%.

For me the native resolution is more important than higher graphic settings for eye candy.

I thought you might even want to use a higher resolution because you say the 6800XT is barely capable of firing the reverb.

Which texture setting can you use - High?

Do you also have the feeling on the Causasus that the 6800XT the 6800XT is hardly able to fire the reverb.

Sorry, just saw that we already had this topic

No texture settings are set to high. My setting are between low and medium. Thats why I say THW RX6800 XT can barely fire the Reverb G2.

FYI, I am looking at a practice run on buy new computer parts, building new computer, new VR too. Looking at $5,000. Yes, can get less high end and save a few$$, but wow!!!! I am sick of <20 FPS in VR.

You don't need that much.

I think with a fully maxed Quest 2, Reverb, Pico 4 you are doing well with the glasses. Mna can then change again later, to a quest 3 if it makes sense.

On the PC,

Even if you go to the full.

A 7800X3D should cost €500, board €200, Ram 64GB 5600 CL28 for €280, RTX4090 €1800, power supply €200, m.2 SSD for 1tb PCIe5.0 with a short wait for €200. Oh, a chic case 200 €.

Would be 3380€ for total overkill.

Makes sense for DCS, given that the engine will offer significant improvements very soon. There was a leak somewhere in the days when the frame rate in the MP went from 55 to over 120 on an R5 5600.

R5 7600 €230, board €200, Ram €280, RTX 4090 €1800, power supply €150, M.2 PCIe4.0 SSD €100, case €100.

Makes €2860, since even an R5 5600 is then easily fast enough for a 4090, you could lower that by another €270, to around €2590, without you noticing a difference as soon as the engine improvements for the beta Are available.

Of course, a 4080 is also possible... That would be another 500€
