The other day I found this strange bug doing the taxiing and takeoff tutorial, while I was taxiing behind the humvee I crashed with him and damaged the plane which turned off, i began to repair it and connected the external power, meanwhile when waiting for the repair i started to check some switches, and then when i activated the INT/KONT switch it made the canopy closing sound, it seemed very strange to me so to check what was happening I restarted the mission and did exactly the same thing, the bug was still there, I checked the files and removed the mods but it sems like is not a problem on my end, im gonna try to provide a video showing the problem but right now I don't have access to dcs.

pd: english is not my first language im sorry if some things dont make a lot of sense.

Whell i got the video and it seems is also ocurring with the plane intact...

Edit:

i restarted the mission several times and it seem that is playing random viggen sound effects when you restart the same mission.

Hi Pablogm1312!

Since I have never had this issue in the past, I would suggest a DCS repair first before digging into.
You are sure you are not using any mods?

Yes, i only had the A4E, fc3 clickable and srs mods, all removed and i already checked the game files and nothing was wrong

The problem with randomly playing stuff at spawn after a few flights is nothing new, I have this since a very long time.
But it is new to me that it appears when acting on the INT/KONT switch 🙂

@Machalot: Can you make sure it is in the bug list?

I can add it, but before I do, what is the best way to reproduce the issue?

"Subsonic is below Mach 1, supersonic is up to Mach 5. Above Mach 5 is hypersonic. And reentry from space, well, that's like Mach a lot."

I don't know, i just started the taxing and takeoff tutorial and used the INT/KONT switch, the first time it ocurred is when i crashed with the humvee while taxing and the plane broke, but it's always happening since then.

Well, after some time testing i discovered that the best way to reproduce it is by restarting a mission, the first time you start it the sound of the switch is normal, but if you do shift+r to restart the sound of the INT/KONT switch changes (evidently this only can be reproduced in single player). Also the sound that plays after the restart is not random, it goes down from the original sound in alphabetical order.

Good work, this should help the HB crew to localize the error in the code. Thanks!

Reproduced and confirmed, thanks!

Better not use Shift+R for restarting and instead restart the mission through the ESC-menu instead as a workaround.

Edit: Disregard the workaround. The problem appears there as well. It's reported.

Well, I discovered that this bug also happens in the IR-RB FRAMSTEGN button, so since I didn't have much to do, i started to look at the code and I found this:

image.png

I could not find the strings for the INT/KONT switch in clickabledata.lua and when I opened other files to see if I could find it, I saw this one, my knowledge of lua is not very advanced but I think that like the IR-RB button and the INT/KONT switch, they don't have a sound assigned in clickcabledata.lua, the game may be taking the code from this file, and since it does not have a sound assigned, it is playing them all, it is just a theory, but I don't know, maybe it has something to do with all this...

Although it doesn't make much sense either since INT/KONT at without restarting has the correct sound, if it was what I'm saying above, at the start of the mission it should use a sound from the RWR.
