I set up some triggers to play sound files and they are working just fine when I test it in single player, but when I load the mission on my server, they do not work. The triggers I have tried using are Unit is Alive and Unit in Zone, then Sound File to Unit. Neither one has worked. Is there some setting I need to enable to get these sound files to work?

no one has yet replied to your post since March.

I find that if nobody replies to a request for help, even though this community appears to be very helpful, it is often at least due to one of the following

  • too little information for people to work with. If the question appears to be low effort, few people will feel the need to engage
  • No reference to work with. If I have a problem, I usually create a small miz that exhibits the issue I describe and post it here for people to look at.

There also have been no follow-ups from the OP, leaving us to guess what happened - did OP lose interest? Did they find the root cause and if so, did not bother to post the solution for the community? We don't know.

If you have this issue, I'm sure that you can be helped quickly should you post a short miz that exhibits the issue with a description of what you did, expected to happen, what happened instead and why you think that what happened is wrong. After all, we know that usually sound files do play for multiplayer, so we are either tracking a significant new issue, or are dealing with something that may be remedied quickly.

What type of sound files are you using?

Multiplayer requires .ogg I believe.

I googled and found this

Also, questions that are worded like an order you would give to a secretary of yours, sometimes can get ignored 🙂
