solved Crash on startup - C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION - on clean install/system

Hi,

I recently reinstalled my windows on my PC, and I just installed DCS but it crashes after login (I dont get to see the game menu at all)

what I tried so far :

- reinstall DCS on another disk

- set pagefile to 32GB

- reinstall nvidia driver with DDU

- reinstall older nvidia driver

- delete save game folder

I'm on windows 11 pro build 10.0.22621, with a nvidia 3090 founder edition

 

It doesn't change anything, you can get the dump and logs in attached files, but what I saw so far is the following in the crash logs :

Google doesn't help me much with this message, and I don't really know what else I can try... This PC was completely able to launch DCS before my reinstall

Hi, your issue seems to be caused by a Force Feedback device. Workaround: try unplugging your FFB device then start DCS.

Chances are it is the peripheral recognized as "vJoy Device".
