Not sure it's a bug or not but i've tried tuning the Radio to 18Mz and i don't hear the dots or dashes, i don't know if i've set it up wrong or what but i've turned both switches on, set the handle to audio, it's on the 18mz band and the handle is set to normal?

Did you set the transmitter to standby?

Download the Chuck's Guide and see starting on p.286 to make sure you've done everything there.
