Rongor Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 (edited) During a cold start, when the R engine is up and running, I briefly put the engine crank switch to left until comb hyd pressure indicated 3000 psi, then put the crank back to off. When the pressure fell below 2100 psi, I activated the hyd transfer pump (switching it from shutoff to norm). To my surprise the comb pressure continued to drop and is now at zero. So I guess I have to deactivate the hyd transfer pump and abort startup because some hyd line or the pump is apparently broken? Edited March 22, 2023 by Rongor
RustBelt Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 Have you disconnected ground power? Transfer pump won’t activate while still on ground power. Once the right engine is stable you should disconnect ground power since it’s on the left side of the fuselage right at the left engine intake. It would be poor form to make the aircraft tech pull that after left engine start. 1
