brettt777 Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 I have an Oculus/Meta Quest 2 that I've used in DCS before when it was still Oculus. I don't have a Meta account and would prefer not to get one. Is it possible to connect a Quest 2 to non-Steam DCS without a Meta account? No, but your old Oculus account maybe a meta account now anyway. I know meta is the new evil corp but most things need an account these days. 1

After that it just tells you there's no internet connection but still allows me to start DCS. Squiffy Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 How do you like it? I just won one in a raffle, but I find it a little restrictive. I need to test with my new highspeed cable. Wifi was like a slide show. I also have a 48 inch monitor with TrackIR 5. Aside for the 3D gauges, I'm not sure the Quest 2 will be worth it. I have a well worn HOTAS Cougar set up so maybe VR stick and throttle could improve upon that, but I kind of doubt it. What do you think? derneuemann Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 I also use Quest 2 and love it. Sure, 4K on the monitor is prettier, but the feeling in VR is unattainable on the monitor. Also with head tracking. I have optimized the Quest Link and use a resolution of around 4700x2500 in combination with 2x MSAA. It looks good and makes you want to. 1 I5 13400F, 32GB DDR5 6200 CL30, RTX4070ti Super 2x 1tb m.2 (PCIe4.0)
