need track replay as tactical commander, enemy targets dissapear after I issue "stop attack" command

When in F10 map, I issue an attack command on an enemy, a red attack marker appears on said enemy. I click stop attack without my unit attacking the enemy, and just when the attack marker is gone the enemy marker on the F10 map dissapears, even if it is within LOS of my unit.
