This bug occurs in MT only.

When the aircraft looses power, for example when the generators are shut down and reset or the engines spooled down for repair, and then power is then reapplied, then the TSD video background sticks (tested with chart only). I tested it a few times in SP and it is reproducible 100% of the time. The video brightness knob does affect the background intensity, but the background stays no matter what page you go to and you also can't switch to a different map underlay either.

To reproduce:

  1. Start MT
  2. Hop into hot aircraft
  3. Open TSD on right MFD and select a map scale that shows the map
  4. Open A/C -> ENG -> Sys page and shut down gen 1 and gen 2
  5. Reset Generators with the reset switch
  6. Observe TSD map stuck in place and nothing you do can fix it

I've had it happen on one occasion that the map stayed broken even after INS re-aligned, that happened on syria with multicrew..

I tried it and it works. After restoring power, you do need to wait few minutes for system to get operational.

Map can be moved, can change scale, type.

DIfference between ST and MT is that, as you said, background stays, but time for system to get operational is the same.

So, only bug here is that background stays on screen where it shouldn't.

How are you shutting down the helicopter during repair? The correct sequence is

APU - On

Power Levers -  Idle or Off (when apu on advisory is displayed, if you really wanna be accurate, engines come off after 2 minutes ate idle)

APU Off - After engines are off

The only time the generators will ever kick offline outside of an improper shutdown is if you droop the rotor (slow it down) so much that it trips the generators off. There’s zero reason to ever have to interact with the generator reset switches. If you do a proper shutdown procedure, does this still manifest itself?
