David Proeber Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 Flying cold start mission on Supercarrier. All switches and procedures followed with wings folded. I pull plane to heat ramp behind catapult 2. I wait and wait and ground crew will not recognizes that I am waiting for direction to extend wings and pull forward to shuttle. Even if I pull up to shuttle and engage launch bar , crew still never recognizes that I am there and waiting for direction. What am I missing?
Gremlin17 Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 (edited) did you request a launch (F7?) or did you taxi up too fast? It's normally one of those issues. edit: im not an expert Edited April 25, 2023 by Gremlin17
David Proeber Posted April 25, 2023 Author Posted April 25, 2023 Yes. I did request launch. A few minutes ago I just did get the crew at catapult 2 to wake up and I did hesitate for a bit longer at the deflector. Not sure if there is a specific timer that has to run down before they wake up. Still can't seem to wake up crew at catapult 1 no longer how long I park there. Thanks for the suggestions, though. At least I can get off the boat now.
draconus Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 It usually happens when other aircraft is on approach or one waiting for launch. What you can do is request launch from the crew and try to turn around for another lineup. If you can reproduce it, exit and save the track to upload here. 1 Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
Solution David Proeber Posted April 27, 2023 Author Solution Posted April 27, 2023 I've flown four or five missions now and it works. The fix seems to be that I need to hesitate before or on the blast deflector for at least 5-10 seconds and that will wake the ground crew. 1
Tg831 Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 I've have found if you take shortcuts they won't recognise you, you need to line up further behind the deflector.
