Bug11 Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 I will buy. The ONLY issue I had was with not knowing what was being installed on my system. I would prefer a copy protection scheme that didn't interfere with virtual cd emulation but I would probably just deal with it. ED have said it was an oversight and that is good enough for me. Hopefully a little more forethought will be done in future - focused on the consumer side of things rather than the developers.

So I didn't vote on it. Similarly this post doesn't make much sense. It asks if you would buy it even with SF protection. How about 1) I will buy it with the StarForce protection 2) I will buy it with the starforce protection, but I would prefer if it used a different method of Copy Protection 3) I will not buy it with starforce copy protection. 4) I will not buy it irregardless of what copy protection is used. Now wouldn't that give a more accurate reflection of people's opinions?

Lipfert Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 I'm happy to hold off until this whole S-F situation settles down, personally I'm concerned that even attempting to get information about the product is blocked by legal agreements. And I'm not spending extra legal dollars to proceed with my investigation. I need to be convinced and right now I'm not. It's to new, we have no idea who or what S-F is all about. But then again I work in Data Security and Identity theft is the biggest issue we deal with on a daily basis these day's. And if you say your are sure, it's only an opinion because right now with new versions being released to fix the previous ineffective release by S-F it's all a patch up the holes process. I'll shut up now on the subject. Carl, you should rethink your post. Many people are very surprised / alarmed to see these drivers in a Demo and my personal privacy is not a joke (or concern about it).

If they take my Master Card. Then I'm there. If not, ..... That would suck. I want to support the dev's and will do so in my best ability's. Pay Pall aint a considering option. I dont trust them. LOL aint Paranoiac. I Just dont trust them. Master card license for business is not that expensive. If it brings more money to the Dev's having credit cards purchase online. Then more money for the dev's to bring out 1.2. (note I dont have a visa, Dev's dont consider visa the only card for online purchase. thanks) Cheers

Make it 111,000 and you'll have something substantial. Even 11,000 would be impressive. There are only 2256 registered members of this forum, by the way. So you have a sample size (for this forum only) of 4.9%.
