MortalMando Posted May 12, 2023 Posted May 12, 2023 (edited) Welcome to Helldiver Chariot Company, Are you looking for a group that is flying soviet-style helicopters, with a focus on operating in a team based and tactical environment? You have found the right place. The company is made up of four platoons. KA-50 (Heresy), Mi-24 (Violence), Mi-8 (Limbo) and OH-58 (Greed). Together we fly different types of missions in a pvp or pve scenario. The KW is the newest addition to the team and although not redfor, it brings something very unique to the battlefield that blends into the mission sets carried out within the team perfectly. Our flight times are EU based and we mainly fly 1830Z+ Thursdays and saturdays are our main events. The flight time is approximately 3 hrs+. You can find more information on our Website (link below). What we are looking for: Cool, mature and dedicated helicopter pilots who want to immerse themselves deeply in teamplay and tactics. Our unit does not fly fixed wings, we still work together with fixed wings occasionally. There are a few blockers to eliminate before diving deep into teamplay and tactics, we assume and check off the following: Prerequesites: 18+ years of age or older no member of another virtual squadron able to attend the main events (Thurs./Sat.) Technical: able to start the AC "Cold & Dark" manually able to hover-check and hover-taxi knowledge of how to operate the radios able to conduct a tear-drop landing approach for FARPs (procedure will be provided) Module (Maps): Afghanistan (AFG is releasing soon) syria Module (Helo): KA-50/ Mi-24/ Mi-8/ OH-58 It is not necessary but advised to at least own a second helo, if your main is the KA-50 or the OH-58 since we also fly older Cold War settings. We are embedding the OH-58 currently and developing SOP's for combined OPS for all platoons. To get in touch, contact us via our Website or the DCS forum. ZQuickSilverZ Posted October 8, 2023 Posted October 8, 2023 What is your server named. Is it open to the public outside of mission times? I need, I need, I need... What about my wants? QuickSilver original. "Off with his job" Mr Burns on the Simpsons. "I've seen steering wheels / arcade sticks / flight sticks for over a hundred dollars; why be surprised at a 150 dollar item that includes the complexities of this controller?! It has BLINKY LIGHTS!!" author unknown. These titles are listed in the chronological order I purchased them. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
MortalMando Posted October 8, 2023 Author Posted October 8, 2023 Hey Quicksilver, we are a helo team that was flying mission on Enigma Cold War in the beginning, but are flying on different other Servers both pvp and pve now as well. For training sessions, we fly on a private server. Hope that helps.

_Defi Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 Hey @MortalMando, I saw your excellent videos on YT. So cool. I want to fly like you guys do. Do you offer a little guidance / training in handling? I know all the basics, but my handling is not good. Can I learn? I have the KA-50 bs3, UH60L, FC3, CA, F16C, Persia, Syria, Marianas, Caucasus maps. TrackIR5 and an X56 Hotas.
MortalMando Posted December 11, 2023 Author Posted December 11, 2023 Hey @_Defi cool that you are reaching out and thanks . We are not so much a group for beginners, simply because we try to focus on tactical implementation and integration of helo teams into the battlefield. Still if you need some help just generally to understand the helo, say hello on our discord. We could offer some advice that would have helped when we started and we generally have some cool guys around.

LuseKofte Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 My problem for joining squads is simply choosing the chopper I fly them all and like them all equally
MortalMando Posted December 11, 2023 Author Posted December 11, 2023 (edited) @LuseKofte variety is cool if you consider yourself more of a lone wolf. Edited December 11, 2023 by MortalMando 1
MortalMando Posted December 11, 2023 Author Posted December 11, 2023 A few KA50 just left the factory with their new “Helldiver Woodland Camo” inspired by the Mi24 440th livery. All details included. The Maiden flight is planned for this month. 2
Roostyla Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 I have been a fixed wing guy for the best part of 2 years flying CAP for Helldiver on missions. Helo's scared the life out of me and looked super complicated but after a bit of convincing and a free trial I was up and flying with combat landings within a couple of weeks! Mando puts in a lot of effort with the training and documentation to support it and make the concepts easy to visualize. There are like minded individuals in the squadron that love to run drills and maneuvers and then take it in to PVP + PVE environments in planned ops and spontaneous flights. ECW and now Tempest and more. The more experience the better of course but don't be afraid if you are new to this, with a bit of dedication offline to master the basics you will fit right in. Pedals are recommended as that's what made it click for me in the Mi-8. 1 1

Red_Dragon Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 (edited) I wonder if you use the help of such ground attacks as Su 25? I know that in Afghanistan, Mi-24 and Mi-8 were often supported by Su-17 and Su-25. On the new map, Afghanistan Mi8 can be very vulnerable, especially when attacked in a gorge with one "entrance".. Do you manage to knock out the air defense only with Mi-24 helicopters if it is not available due to the time frame of Ka50? Edited July 11, 2024 by Red_Dragon
Foxy RedFox Fomo Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 Just finished watching all your videos and found myself wanting more... I'm interested in learing more about the group. The website directs me to Discord yet I can't see the link anywhewre.

It’s probably nothing that I can answer with real certainty because it depends on a lot of factors. We do train DEAD in multiship as well so some sites can be managed. There is of course multilayered system so called IADS but to make it short: yes we are used to engageing SAM sites with the mi24. For the future we would love to build a SU25 wing embedded within the company but that’s a little later down the line. Both combined, helos and SU25s would be a blast. You have just found a way to get in touch We do not share any discord link to the squadron directly - as we are a small and familiar group and a little more selective. Other then that, just send me a friend request over at discord (username: mortalmando) if you are interested in what we do or have questions. See you there!
