A plain and simple option to remove the Apache's canopy reflections (including the window deviding the pilot and cpg) would be a very simple but usefull addition to the helicopter. I think I can speak for many of us in saying that I would greatly appreciate this being implemented, since there are often moments in which I just want to jettison the canopy in order to see a thing.

Would that be a cheat in PVP when flying against others that fly with reflections?

I guess in single player it is fine, in multiplayer it should be  up to the server.

HP G2 Reverb (Needs upgrading), Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate. set to OpenXR, but Open XR tool kit disabled.

DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), DLSS setting is quality at 1.0. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC... Everything needs upgrading in this system!.

Vaicom user and what a superb freebie it is! Virpil Mongoose T50M3 base & Mongoose CM2 Grip (not set for dead stick), Virpil TCS collective with counterbalance kit (woof woof). Virpil Apache Grip (OMG). MFG pedals with damper upgrade. Total controls Apache MPDs set to virtual Reality height. Simshaker Jet Pro vibration seat.. Uses data from DCS not sound... goodbye VRS.

If it's I optional for all, I cannot consider this as a cheat. The reflections are "nice", but they don't work like in real life, hence I also wish to see them gone.

Cheers!

I do like canopy reflections.

I think in multiplayer it is up to the server, then whether they choose to disable reflections or make it optional then that works for both of us. I have it on and you do not.

If a multiplayer server forces it on then that surely works for us both as I am happy and you can be free to decide to stay or play... I think this works fine.

I agree! Absolutely!
Best option.

The reason why I "don't like them", is the fact that I cannot focus "through/beyond" like in the real world, like through the windshield in my car or the windows in my house.
The way tech is going, will eventually see this option in the future. Then I'll probably live them!

I think those reflections are impressively realistic, and I commend the crew/artists for their genious.
-For the most.
But under certain conditions, they seem to challenge the limitations of the technology and the result is mushy vision.
-Which is frustratio,, Frustrationistics.. errhh.. frust.. Annoying!
But then again, I actually never could tell if realistic or not; because of subjective frustration.
-So I just squint.  🙂
