Just noticed the missing boom cover on the menu screen standard wallpaper 🙂

Wish there was actual damage modeled in DCS when you hammer the basket too much - then again i´m glad there isn´t.

In case you didn't know, they often remove the refueling probe cover because of incidents where it would get knocked off and go down the right air intake, FODing the engine.

I think in the photo above, that was an example of them voluntarily removing it.

I heard of issues from when they started using the KC135s metal basket often damaging the probe when you plugged too hard. I never knew they actually removed those covers voluntarily 🙂  Thanks for the info

They did, as did Iranians. I wish we had a damage model wrt it.

Did you know you can also remove it by editing lua in a livery?
