RAZABAM - KEEP IN MIND THIS IMPORTANT PERFORMANCE LIMIT, BEFORE MODULE RELEASED:
Link to F-15E pilot talking about performance: Fighter Pilot Podcast - 076 - F-15E Strike Eagle
👉F-15E with CFT have defined speed limit 700 kts or Mach 1.6 👈
Plane have so HUGE DRAG - EVEN WITHOUT ANYTHING LOADED ON PYLONS, that pilots have problems to get there (probably shallow descent needed).

Maybe, maybe not.

RAZBAM has proper documentation including some performance charts, details like basic aircraft limits and stores/weapon carriage constraints. That 700kts looks more like limit imposed on both LANTIRN pods. If we're allowed to loose the pods, just continue to M2.00 as that should be next stop (CFTs structural design limit) without (simulated) damage.

At least -229 engines are more than capable to get her there, not sure that those 2 guys from podcast were flying lucky ones with 229s, hence their pain.

Other than that, IRL airframe get stressed over years and it would not be strange to see some speed restrictions being imposed intentionally, saving some serious maintenance costs and keeping the numbers of air ready units. Maybe that's something we can see in distant DCS future.

It’s a 1.8 limit on the pods, not 1.6, and these are limitations as in things may break if you go over them. Not the jet can’t go faster.

the CFT limit is 2.0.

Also these are operational limits, as in the pilot should not exceed them. Not physical limits. You can exceed these especially with the -229, but something might break if you do.

If you look at the -229 performance indexes in the -1 the clean jet with CFTs and -229s is easily accelerating above mach 2.0 even though the chart is cutoff at the CFT limit of 2.0.

Just like the EE Lightning is limited to 800kts indicated as above that speed the air friction will overheat the radome, that was a major limiting factor in the top speed of the aircraft.

Is overspeed modeled anyway? I think in F-16 module not, at least for the stores not.

Only older aircraft (WWII, Korean war, MiG-21) have the effect of overspeed modeled.

The AV-8 (another RAZBAM module) has overspeed modeled IIRC.  The plane gets very unstable as you approach the sound barrier, and if you surpass it the airframe just falls apart after awhile.

Semi-related, the JF-17 also has over-G modeled on stores.  You can jam your weapons or even rip them off with a hard enough pull-up.  Would be interesting to see if this is implemented on the E model.

Stores damage to overspeed, over g would be a nice addition. It would force you to fly with more thought. I just noticed the F-16 still starts in a cat I config with 12 bombs loaded and nothing damages while fly over 6g's.
