Targeting Pod locks on the wrong target super away far from the one pointed

While I am clearly targeting the ammo thingy, the POD keeps on targeting the helipad pretty far away.

I have this a lot ; I feel it's a bug but I am not sure ; maybe there is something I am missing.
Is there a way to select the size of the target like in ka50?

Did you try to lock from another direction? I mean put the helipad farther and ammo nearer. There must be something wrong but I don't know what.

yea and even if the helipad is not in the pod screen, it will still lock the pad over the ammo stuff.

I had the same issue. Then I gave up on locking and now I just place the cursor at the target - works pretty well.
