BioZ Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 The SA-19 / Tunguskas are consistently unable to hit any manoeuvring fixed-wing targets, the missile simply "Wiggles" while in flight and loses an insane amount of energy, in addition to often missing the target. I have attached 2 track files. The first track "Tung.trk" file 2 non-manoeuvring F-14B at moderate speed overly 4 Tungs. This results in a 50/50 chance of a hit. Second Track "Tung1.trk" 2 non-manoeuvring F-14B at moderate speed fly parallel to 2 Tungs. It is resulting in a 0% chance of a hit. I want to emphasize that these are non-manoeuvring targets. Hitting anything that is somewhat manoeuvring is almost impossible. Please also press F6 and look at the missile wiggle. CA doesn't get much love recently so I will tag @BIGNEWY to get the attention, hope no one minds. Kind regards. Tung1.trkTung.trk 1

ED Team Chizh Posted January 29, 2024 ED Team Posted January 29, 2024 Not a bug. Tung.trk There, targets fly with a large target profile - lateral shift. This is a difficult case for a missile with a three-point guidance system, which must perform large g-loads when approaching the target. In the Tung1.trk all targets are shot down. Единственный урок, который можно извлечь из истории, состоит в том, что люди не извлекают из истории никаких уроков. (С) Джордж Бернард Шоу
