Pavlin_33 Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 (edited) I am not sure if this is a bug or if I am doing something wrong, but when I fly online my targeting pod seems to loose its lock and reset couple of seconds before bomb impact. This happens even when I do a gentle turn after bomb release. In single-player I am able to consistently hit targets using the pod and there seem to be no issues there. Even if I just fly over a target without banking, the pod's gumball does that snapping movement but stays on target. My engagement is between 12k and 18k feet and doing 300 to 400 KTS. In MP, however, it seems to just snap back to nowhere at some point. The only difference between online and MP attempts is that in MP I start the aircraft manually. Maybe I am missing a step? Pavlin_33 Posted June 22, 2023 Author Posted June 22, 2023 Hi @Mike_Romeo, here's a video. You can see that the pod looses lock just before impact. The curious thing is that the target actually gets destroyed - every time. It's just that I don't get to see the explosion . Happens on MP 100% of the time and almost never in SP. 1 i5-4690K CPU 3.50Ghz @ 4.10GHz; 32GB DDR3 1600MHz; GeForce GTX 1660 Super; LG IPS225@1920x1080; Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB; Windows 10 Pro

Also the pod seems sto snap off exaclty at the moment of impact and does this consistently. I will post a track from SP a bit latter. i5-4690K CPU 3.50Ghz @ 4.10GHz; 32GB DDR3 1600MHz; GeForce GTX 1660 Super; LG IPS225@1920x1080; Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB; Windows 10 Pro

Pavlin_33 Posted July 6, 2023 Author Posted July 6, 2023 Here are the tracks. I've tried to re-create the video with the following parameters: alt ~ 14.000' speed ~ 400kts 1.3-1.6G in the turn after bomb release In my SP tracks the pod never looses the lock, in both "area" and "point" tracking and you can clearly seem the bomb impact. jf-17-tpod-area.trk jf-17-tpod-point.trk i5-4690K CPU 3.50Ghz @ 4.10GHz; 32GB DDR3 1600MHz; GeForce GTX 1660 Super; LG IPS225@1920x1080; Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB; Windows 10 Pro

Wyvern Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 The bug was noted, he is going through the bugs currently. 1 1 I have 600GB in skins in my Saved Games. 200GB of that is probably made by myself. Check out my DCS UserFiles section Join the Official Deka Ironwork Simulations discord server!

Eber Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 (edited) I had the same problem with the T-Pod "jumping" like 50 meters away in multiplayer after overflying the target. I unchecked the Box "testing feature" in special options menu. The problem seems to be gone now. Not 100% sure but a bomb run with 6 LGBs worked flawless so far (edit: not really flawless but with the pod staying on target, jittering). Edit: I also changed the wmd7 slew rate from 1.0 to 0.6. Might be a thing too, no idea. Edited September 28, 2023 by Eber
Eber Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 I did a video. I think I was able to reproduce the bug by turning on "testing feature" again and then off again. Here is the video: 1 1

With testing feature "on" it didn't even jitter. Here is the video testing feature OFF: testing feature on I use the Multithreading version of DCS if that helps So yes, the "jumping to a completely different location" happens only multiplayer in my tests. Pavlin_33 Posted October 21, 2023 Author Posted October 21, 2023 I can confirm that this issue is fixed for multiplayer on single-threaded version: the pod does not jump any more but shakes just a little moments before impact, which is a huge improvement. i5-4690K CPU 3.50Ghz @ 4.10GHz; 32GB DDR3 1600MHz; GeForce GTX 1660 Super; LG IPS225@1920x1080; Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB; Windows 10 Pro
