Rex Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 (edited) Wow, the new F-15E is superb! It's even better than I expected! Awesome job, fellas! Quick question, I'm putting it through its paces and pushing the limits and seeing what I can get away with. I notice that when I go full burner and enter a medium dive, once I hit IAS ~840, one of my wings will catch on fire. Just curious, what is it simulating? Heating from air friction? alfhaq Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 I also experienced this in my first flight today same as you medium dive 850knots. 1
Hiob Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 I think the wing tip is braking off. The fire is merely the resulting damage effect. I guess it's simulating structural overload. If that is correct at those speeds I don't know. 1 "Muß ich denn jedes Mal, wenn ich sauge oder saugblase den Schlauchstecker in die Schlauchnut schieben?"
Despayre Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 Hey Icarus, quit that. 2 I'm not updating this anymore. It's safe to assume I have all the stuff, and the stuff for the stuff too.
Waxer Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Yeah, I pulled the same stunt. And won the same stoopid prize with great balls of fire coming out of my port wing. With the Mud Hen you get some of the same early generation 4 / pre fly by wire feelings that you get from the Tomcat. It does not talk to you as much as the KittyKat. But you can get yourself into much more trouble, much more quickly than you can compared to the Viper and Hornet. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
