Hello,

I'm having trouble getting the radio to work with the engines off. The steps I'm following are:

1) Ask Ground Crew to connect Ground power

2) Once connected, switch EXT PWR (on the ENGINE Panel) to RESET and then NORM. The engine display illuminates.

3) On the GND PWR panel, switch unlabeled switch to A ON. The top circuit switches are unable to hold onto their ON position.

4) Turn on the UFCP

5) On radio 1, select preset channel 1, which corresponds to the airbase ATC frequency, like this:

However, it seems like the radio has no power, as I can't get rid of the R1 OFF status, and of course the ATC does not answer.

Has anyone figured out how to use Ground Power properly?

Thanks, hopefully someones knows about this 🙂

No one knows?

I saw a similar post on reddit, but seems no one knows about this either 😞

Can confirm this is a bug.  Would appear there are a few powered buses left off the list that should be receiving power.

Priority level should likely be kind of low at this point as ground power is just not used for normal operations for flight.

FWIW, just additional info as the manual may not have caught up to things.  External air is needed for MPDP, 2,3,4, etc.

I also posted about it too.

It's a bit silly really the radios are reliant on engine power

One radio is actually dependent on emergency generator power, but yes, engines need to be running/windmilling outside of using external power which has a bug at the moment.  This is accurate to the real aircraft, there are no other bugs there.

An odd process if engine needs to be running to get radio to work? That is ... start engine, then use radio to call tower for permission to commence start up? Minor detail overall - not a big impact to game play overall, just a bit odd.

I understand that on western air forces, having tower clearance is not needed for starting engines.
