Hello everyone,

I am using the paintkit v1.1 provided by metal2mesh (@Timghetta) (found here: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/328347-f-15e-paint-kit/) to create my skin for the F-15. The issue I am facing is that in the paintkit, the colour is quite "bright" grey while when I export it to dds, in game it is shown as almost black. (see pictures).

I have some experience with editing software but probably I am missing something here. Can anyone please help me with is?

IIRC it's something to do with the "Custom RGB" settings that needs to be set for the colors to work properly. Got a screenshot that got shared on discord, maybe that helpsnull

Thanks for the reply. These are the settings that I use as well. (I guess these are the settings that are predefined). Should I play around with those settings? I am not sure how I should approach this issue.

Edit: I got the solution from a reddit post in Hoggit by metal2mesh.

THe Nvidia plugin for exporting dds files has to be used.

The Paint kit uses a 16bit Custom RGB color profile. Please use Nvidia Plugin to export to BC7 and make sure "Override Filter Width" unchecked.
Do not use intel Plugin to export, it will apply a sRGB profile and make it look dark.

This is only if you are bringing art in from another file into the paint kit.
You would convert the profile so when you bring into the paint kit it won't look washed out.

Edit/Convert to Profile/ select Custom RGB. Set Gamma to 2.0 and White Point should default to 6500K and choose your Primaries, can leave it as HDTV or use Adobe (1998)
