Using mapped HUD VID Contrast Control causes HUD Brightness Knob to turn to Zero

If I bind the HUD Video Contrast control (+10% / -10%) to my warthog stick's L/R hat, using it causes the HUD Brightness knob to immediately turn to zero which means I lose HUD symbology during NAV FLIR. (No problems if I bind the HUD Video Brightness Control likewise and use it.)

Still not fixed in 2.9 post hotfix (as of 2 Nov). Also reported here and here.
