Ivandrov Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 Track attached. In the track I use CDES to automatically update the designation with a slew and release, then I try to PTRK the bus in the track and the designation spot never changes according to the HUD. I even slewed and released back onto the bus periodically near the end to update the designation with that method but the PTRK itself fails to move the designation with the bus. tempMission.miz.trk
dporter22 Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 Confirmed. Target designation does not stay on moving targets, and if you try to redesignate it loses the point track.
HoneyFox Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 (edited) Same here. and this probably explains a lot of cases in which LGBs dropped towards a much outdated designated point, giving them larger trajectory error to correct, sometimes too large that the actual target has already got out of the seeker FOV completely. Sarge55 Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 I’ve taken to re-designating the moving target about 15 seconds to release then quickly retracking in point track. Just in case the initial designation is too far away. Takes a bit of practice and quick fingers, often see the pipper jump quite a bit depending on my approach offset from the initial designation or target point. Usually re-tracks the tgt no problem with the occasional faffing about . dporter22 Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 Yes, that's a workaround for now but hopefully it'll get fixed soon.
Sarge55 Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 Absolutely, it’s a very strange method. Perhaps in this next update, looks quite extensive. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] i7 10700K OC 5.1GHZ / 500GB SSD & 1TB M:2 & 4TB HDD / MSI Gaming MB / GTX 1080 / 32GB RAM / Win 10 / TrackIR 4 Pro / CH Pedals / TM Warthog
