About the compatibility of F15E grips with previous products of Winwing

Winwing posed the details concerning F15E grips, in particular, they explain the compatibility with previous products.

https://wwsimstore.com/view/goods-details.html?id=471

It seems that they will lose 6 key bindings (!!!) except Orion 2.

Is it possible that we can change the key bindings that lost functions by using their software? For example, in Winwing's announcement, they said that  50, 51, 52 will lose functions. Can we change those to, for example, 57, 58, 59?

No, It's a hardware limitation. All in all you lose very little and gain a lot!

I certainly know it's because of the data bandwidth limitations of the hardware. What I'm wondering is if it's possible to disable some of the buttons via software, like disabling 57, 58, and 59, then we have enough data bandwidth to enable 50 and 56.

But why?? You lose less than you gain. I'm 100% sure that your suggestion wont happen.

You have a lot of Winwings equipment, would you recommend either of the Grips for the Super Taurus, and will I loose or gain any functionality for the Fa-18? If I recall what you said about throttle grips, the finger lifts are not programmable on this throttle so I will assume replacing the grips will not do anything to the finger lifts?  Thanks  TC

I've ordered the F-15E grips which gives me everything I need. Replacing the grips won't impact the finger lifts at all.

I preordered the Orion 2/F-15EX set, it looks too good to pass up at this price point.

Joystick bases: TMW, VPC WarBRD, MT50CM2, VKB GFII, FSSB R3L

Joystick grips: TM (Warthog, F/A-18C), Realsimulator (F-16SGRH, F-18CGRH), VKB (Kosmosima LH, MCG, MCG Pro), VPC MongoosT50-CM2

Throttles: TMW, Winwing Super Taurus, Logitech Throttle Quadrant, Realsimulator Throttle (soon)

Hi.  Did you receive your EX set?  Winwing site still shows "available for pre-order" for EX, so wondering if any have been sent (other than demo ones we see on YT). Thx.

I got some F15EX grips, all buttons work on my Super Taurus, even vibration on both grips. I ordered my Taurus August 2022. Perhaps some older Taurus units are not fully capable.

Got mine awhile back. No issues and the extra buttons are really great.

Lucky. I think I ordered mine in late 2021 and it does not work with the extra buttons.
