Flav Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 (edited) Hey there, I'm back on the A10 C II with enthusiasm, and like many of us now, I use a home cockpit, with hotas. I'm surprised to see that there aren't many options for allocating axis. Would it be possible to revise the axis assignments on this aircraft? For example, with rotaries to manage different volumes: radio, tacan, ILS etc. ... in short, would it be possible to transcribe everything that is axis/rotaries in the aircraft for our home cockpit and hotas? EDIT : oh, and keybinds for MASTER sqwak ( off/ stby/ Low/Norm/ emergency)? Regards Edited July 25, 2023 by Flav 1
Solution MAXsenna Posted July 25, 2023 Solution Posted July 25, 2023 Try this!https://github.com/Munkwolf/dcs-community-keybinds Sent from my MAR-LX1A using Tapatalk 2
MAXsenna Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 I'm not a computer scientist, just a player...Well, this is fairly easy, so just ask if you need help.Steps would really be.1. Get a mod manager like Open Mod Manager. Installation is easy. But initial configuration can seem daunting. One does it only once though, and then you can easily apply mods in the future if you wish so. Which is a serious boon in my opinion. 2. Download Quaggles Injector, copy it to the mods repository and apply it.3. Download Munkwolf's repository. This step are very easy. Basically just copy files to your Saved Games folder and forget about it. Unless Munkwolf updates it. Then it's just a matter of download the latest version and copy and overwrite the old ones.4. Start DCS, configure your new bindings and axis.5. Re-apply Quaggles after each DCS update. To make your life even better and easier, downloaded Skatezilla's excellent GUI Updater/Launcher while your at it. Cheers! Sent from my MAR-LX1A using Tapatalk
Vakarian Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 It would be a lot better if these bindings were added in by default, rather than having to rely on 3rd party mods for that (and not just for A-10...)
MAXsenna Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 It would be a lot better if these bindings were added in by default, rather than having to rely on 3rd party mods for that (and not just for A-10...)Obviously no one would argue that. But if users are willing to wait years for features that might never come. When community members have done the leg work with solutions, that are so good even 3rd parties like Heatblur implements with a "Thank you!", I can't help them.I totally agree with you. These features are missing and easy to implement. I assume that they are boring to make for the devs, so I'm just trying to give users a quicker solution. I honestly can't see any harm in that.Cheers! Sent from my MAR-LX1A using Tapatalk 2
Flav Posted July 27, 2023 Author Posted July 27, 2023 2 hours later..... yes, this mod is absolutely perfect, and works very well. I followed the instructions step by step, the most complicated part was finally understanding the tree structure I wanted in "save game", but everything is finally explained. (skeleton part) Thank you for this discovery, and the work accomplished thank you munkwolf's (MAXsenna?) and community for the lua coding. regards, enjoy your flights 2
