kotor633 Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 (edited) Hi@all, Today I tested the possibility for sling load operations with the Gazelle. I didn't think anything of it the first time. The second time I found it strange. As you can see, I'm going into forward flight quite slowly when the 220 lbs container finally hangs on the hook. I also don't make any hectic movements. I didn't enable weather (wind, rain, etc.) in this practice mission. So how can it be that the external load is building up so much...? swatstar98 Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 Really light cargos tend to do crazy things. It's a DCS Core stuff, happens in all helicopter with cargos that are not heavy. 1 Chinook lover - Rober -
grim_reaper68 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 (edited) Can you please share the miz file? I just looked the trak, but it was just the start and then the rotor hits the ground. and it's finished. Edit: just understood how to make a cargo mission. I've made 2 test, one with 220lb and one with 868 lb. In fact the 220 lb is unusable, it's just turn around you and make you crash, and the 868lb can be used, but at low speed. At 60kts the container is far behind as it seems to have no weight and a lot of drag. It's my first experience as cargo lifter so I can't say if it's ok or not. Edited July 31, 2023 by grim_reaper68
