Distiler Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 (edited) Hi! First I noticed the multiplayer interface was in low resolution and I checked F:/dcs/blackshark/config/graphics.cfg (I have not installed it in teh default location) and I've found that it seems to be set at 640x480 (I've set my screen to 1440x900 19:10 in the options menu). But I've also found that it says 1024x768 for both regular interface and in-game simulation resolution. So I don't know what is going on and I prefer not to edit this file. I add that the regular itnerface and in-game simulation resolution plays at 1440x900 regarthless what this file says. DisplayMode { resolution = {1024, 768}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 0; aspect = 1.333333333; Interface { resolution = {1024, 768}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 0; aspect = 1.333333333; } Simulation { resolution = {1024, 768}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 1; aspect = 1.333333333; } AVI { resolution = {640, 480}; fullscreen = 0; aspect = 1.3333; } } Edited March 1, 2009 by Distiler AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
Distiler Posted March 1, 2009 Author Posted March 1, 2009 (edited) Hell I don't understand. I've manually changed the file to this: DisplayMode { resolution = {1440, 900}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 1; aspect = 1.6; Interface { resolution = {1440, 900}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 1; aspect = 1.6; } Simulation { resolution = {1440, 900}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 1; aspect = 1.6; } AVI { resolution = {1440, 900}; fullscreen = 1; aspect = 1.6; } } And nothing changes (obvious for the single player game, but neither the multiplayer interface (it is still at very low resolution)). Perhaps I'm editing the wrong file? BTW, I'm using Windows Vista 32 bit. Distiler Posted March 1, 2009 Author Posted March 1, 2009 Definitelly can't be that config/graphics.cfg file because I've deleted it (I've made a backup just in case) and when I enter the game the options are still set like I setup before (1440x900 and other grapfic options). I just don't get it. I just want to change the multiplayer interface to a higher resolution. :( AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
Nate--IRL-- Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 You can't change the multiplayer interface, unfortunately. Its hardcoded to use certain textures. The resolution is in fact the same a set in the options. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
Distiler Posted March 1, 2009 Author Posted March 1, 2009 mhhh ok :( I still don't understand the use of config/graphics.cfg. I deleted it and the game worked as if it was picking the configuration from another file that I can't find. Acedy Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 BS, unlike Lomac, doesn't store ingame settings in the \config\graphics.cfg file anymore, \BlackShark\data\scripts\options.lua is the file you are looking for. Distiler Posted March 1, 2009 Author Posted March 1, 2009 Thanks. Oh btw, I have a friend saying he sees the multiplayer interface in high resolution. Can it be manually changed in that file? and if so, how is that it's not linked to the selected resolution for overall game (in my case I selected 1440x900).
