Avio Posted August 7, 2023 Posted August 7, 2023 I find the storing of ground radar and the recalling of the stored image rather confusing to use. Does anyone know the correct sequence of storing an image, go on to do something else on the radar, and then recalling back that stored image? 1
hotrod525 Posted August 7, 2023 Posted August 7, 2023 So you talk about the High Resolution Mapping ? If so, you can't store map, only "freeze" it / reprocess it / change the scale via reprocessing. Or the RCD (record) function of the MPD ?
SloppyDog Posted August 7, 2023 Posted August 7, 2023 The Record Function works on the MPD, but the only way to recover the images is by looking at your Saved Games/DCS.openbeta/ScreenShots and then there will be a new folder created called F15E_Recordings.

Storing and recalling of an HRM map should be possible: Edited August 7, 2023 by QuiGon 1 Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
Avio Posted August 7, 2023 Author Posted August 7, 2023 So the process should be :- 1) Zoom to desired level 2) Freeze and box up STO 3) Unfreeze, move around / zoom in/out of areas 4) To recall previous stored image, click New PB Is the above correct? Thought I tried it, but click on New did nothing.

That's how I understand it as well, but I think the recall function is not implemented yet. 1 Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
Longiron Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 I believe you box STO Then press pb NEW which then turns into STORE which you then press again to store the map. The pb NEW without STO boxed only recalls the last built map, ie. OLD/NEW

Avio Posted August 10, 2023 Author Posted August 10, 2023 For something so simple it seems the eagle does it in quite a mangled way ... so I found that to store a patched map and recall later, do these :- 1) To Store >>> Freeze patch / 2) Boxed up STO / 3)Unfreeze and proceed to play with map *** Important -- Leave the STO as BOXED, do not unbox 2) To Recall >>> Freeze / 2) Click NEW -- This brings back the stored map 3) Unfreeze and continue when done 1

In my previous attempts I didn't manually freeze the image. If doing it like you said it works fine (see track file) F15E map store recall.trk Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
