New video up!
WINWING Orion2 F-16EX Viper Throttle Combo Assembly & My 2 Cents
This is not a "Product Review" just some thoughts I wanted to share with you while I am assembling my WINWING Viper throttle. Hope you enjoy this!

VID021_thumbnail.jpg

I am currently in the process of editing two more, a deep dive inner look of the Orion2 base and the throttle grip ANT ELEV knob repair video.

Can't wait for the repair video, perhaps 3D printing the collar part instead of machining could be an option

I suspect these things need precision and certain durability.

You are correct! The wall of the bushing which goes inside the cast will not hold up. Tried and failed.

I am working/editing the video on the repair right now. Hopefully I have it done soon and up on YT.

For anyone who is interested I have the repair as a log on my website at:

Hi, mine has the same issue, seen here: https://youtube.com/shorts/uTOx63t_v1A?si=zmx8htO0uAOF7usf

I would appreciate a video on how to fix this as well

I bought M12x16x0.1 mm shims on ebay and i used 3 of those and all the play is gone. Did pay like 2 usd with shipping so easy and cheap fix.

Good for you! However this does not work if you have a larger diameter hole with a smaller diameter knob. You will eliminate the wobble by being able to tighten it more down, but still encounter shift (side to side). This will reflect in inaccuracy between the hall sensor and the magnet as it was on mine. With a perfect cast, which would be unlikely, it may be not a big deal but I have tried shim washers and it didn't work for me.

Here's what Winwing support says about the issue, it seems like we are left with fixing it ourselves...

yeah, i got exactly the same reply after getting in touch with the support. i find it disappointing that they dont offer better after sales...

anyway thanks @CrashMeTwice for sharing the fix with us 👍

Thank you for watching and for finding it useful. I will have the next part up on YT in a few days. Couldn't make it a all in one, nobody wants to watch a 2 hour video 🙂
