Starboy Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 Hi, I ve a question : is there any way to get the mark points that we have made after closing DCS ? In log or track files ? And how to get them? Thanks for help
TheGhostOfDefi Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 (edited) Well with a track file you can rewind your flight thus you can watch where you made your Markpoints. But just to be clear thats not the purpose of Markpoints. If you can specify your problem i might can help you more. Edited August 12, 2023 by TheGhostOfDefi
Starboy Posted August 12, 2023 Author Posted August 12, 2023 we made a ELINT mission and the pilot who made the ELINT for the SA-2 exit DCS before writing down the coordinates of the mark point; so he got the different heading for each mark points but without getting the markpoints coordinates. we will look the track files and try to take the command at the end to check the data of the markpoints. I hope there was a way with notepad++ to write it down.
AegisFX Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 In the future, a good option may be to take a screenshot of the data. Like while looking at your flir or other reference. Other than watching the in-game track file, I'm unsure of any way to get the coordinates you want right now though. Good luck. Recluse Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 (edited) I would suggest for such ELINT missions using SCRATCHPAD/SCRATCHPAD PLUS to take down coordinates (or pull them directly off the F10 Map, though you may wish to have it come from onboard sensors for Realismtm ) In that case, Scratchpad provides a handy way to enter the observed coordinates and it will actually persist even if DCS closes in the Scratchpad Text file.
