N0L3R Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 (edited) Hello all, Since the last update, whenever I press SP for the TGP, the SnowPlow mode seems to be bugged. Horizontally is good, but vertically, it seems to slew upwards instead of downwards...which makes it difficult to use it tactically. Can anyone confirm whether I'm right or maybe doing something wrong? Thank you ! Edited August 26, 2023 by N0L3R 1

Chuck's manual - "In snowplow mode, the TGP line of sight is commanded straight ahead and angled downwards to point to the ground ahead at half of the currently selected FCR (Fire Control Radar) scale (for example, if selected FCR scale is 40 nm, the TGP will look at the point on the ground 20 nm ahead)." Was your FCR scale set high? void68 Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 Yes, they changed the SP mode, I wonder if this is just an intermediate makeshift change until they fix it or it's original F16 behaviour but if... that puts the question into my head how snowplows in the US work...not wiping left and right in front of your vehicle like they do on my continent (ok, not really wiping). Now Snowplow puts the TGP's sensor head tracking the Steerpoint but not at its programmed altitude but at ground zero. Just in TPG mode. Not in FCR / GM. Then it works the way we are used to it: dead ahead and swiping left and right

Was your FCR scale set high? Hello Grease, So yes, the distance definitely has an affect to where the TGP snowplows vertically but I'm still trying to fine tune it. In any case, I will mark your reply as a solution, thank you ! 1
xanstin Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 I have noted that it only snowplowed correct if the STPT commanded was at ground level or close to it . If for example it was at 20000ft it then snowplowed the TGP into the sky. 1
Milker Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 Hi to all! I had a strange bug, lost completely TGP (targeting pod) SP (Snow Plow) feature on DCS open beta 2.9 last update (19 December), only way to fix it was doing a DCS slow repair. It didn’t even showed up on OSB 8! Good hunting
