Hi all !. I have been simming since (feels like Centuries ago) PCs had 4 Mbs of Ram and a TNT Riva or a Voodoo 3Dfx was the Greatest money could buy !......I have been sitting on the fence since VR came out for a lot of reasons. Reading Forums put me off, Steam VR, Open composite , tunnel vision, Fov and all the questions that come up in the forums. Complications and Problems that I didnt need !

Afterall, I have a great Monitor with a great Graphics card ! (3080ti at the time) ! What more could I want ?

Long story Short. My Pc Died !..My fault !..I wont go into details except to say I should have taken more notice of what HW Info was showing !

So I bit the Vr Bullet with my new Pc upgrade. I bought the Pimax Crystal.

I have had it about 3 weeks now . I had some MASSIVE headaches setting it up but now its great !

My Comments to you : VR Cannot be Described in Words ! It IS the NEXT Level that brings a Simmer So close to Reality ! IT IS ASTOUNDING the VR Cockpit and you will have to Sit in a Static Cockpit and say "O my F God !

I know its not Cheap . Make VR your next Upgrade. Trust me Lads, Ladies. It will open a new world in Flight Simming. ~S~

I use both Tracking and VR with Pico 4. Unfortunately VR does act up sometimes and I get extremely low FPS like last night for some reason. I was getting 1 FPS, but that could also be that the server had 33 people on. The more people the far more demanding the game is on your hardware.

VR is great and might not look anywhere as close visually to 2D, it does do one thing well and that is the MFD's are easier to see because they don't seem so far away and to see closer you just lean forward where as In 2D you have to zoom.

Ditto your experience!

I‘m on the VR train since 2018. From the first time on I had my VR headset on on a flightsim….I‘ve never flown without it. It was a whole new simexperience for me…..Especially flying helicopters in VR is so much more immersive and also easier I think!

Hi all

Does it matter if you wear glasses - is it comfortable?

Thinking about switching to VR to fly A-10c and F18

Depends on the headset and it's spacing.

You can also get prescription lens inserts for just about any headset out there. I use them with my Aero and love them.

My two cents:

Try adjusting the "Force IPD distance" setting in the VR settings menu. I play at 33, but I would start at maybe 50. The lower you go, the bigger the image will be projected in your headset.

IPD doesn't actually seem to have anything to do with the setting, it just seems to increase or decrease the FOV projected. It really helped me out and I can't imagine going back to default, the MFDs are so much bigger when it's set to a lower number.

Guys and gals , the new Pimax Update with Eye Tracking is Amazing . I thought it was a Gimmick when I was Calibrating it. I just had a Dogfight and I can say its Subtle but a great improvement . I am sure you will hear more on YT soon.... I am so glad I waited for the Crystal to get into VR.  NOOOO regrets ~S~
