oho Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 (edited) There are three options to choose but if I map my hotas to these, nothing happens. I tried short buttons and longer buttons, but I can't see the Speed brake light. I use the landing quick mission. How is it supposed to work? Did I miss something? Is the lowest button in the list (joystick special) supposed to make a full speed brake once clicked and retract once it is clicked again? I use a thrustmaster warthog throttle. Terzi Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 (edited) There are three control positions for speed brake: Speed brake OPEN works like spring loaded switch. It opens up as long as you keep it depressed and returns to mid position when you release. In the middle the switch keeps its current position. When you switch to close it closes completely and does not return to middle position. By the way there is no light for speed brake. It says CLOSED in the indicator when its completely closed and shows dots if its open. Its located on lower left side of the cockpit near the countermeasures panel. Check F2 view to experiment after assigning your keys. Edited September 1, 2023 by Terzi 1
Solution razo+r Posted September 1, 2023 Solution Posted September 1, 2023 (edited) The F-16 does not have a speedbrake light. These is a small indicator above the RWR On/Off switch that changes from closed to dots if the speedbrake is open. Also, depending on what you tried, you have to press and hold the button for the speedbrake to open fully. If it is called speedbrake toggle then it should open or close by pressing that once.
