If an 85% framerate boost translates to DCS i could run ULTRA settings on my 3070.

On another note, NVIDIA's business model has shifted from consumer GFX cards to data centers, hence they may not worry too much about cannibalizing their GPU sales.

And what exactly does that have to do with VR now?
DLSS, no matter which version, will not have a positive influence on the image quality in VR. You can already test that very well in the "other" flight simulator. The smearing through DLSS is just disgustingly bad.
Who wants to do that to themselves voluntarily?

I use DLAA in that other sim and think that it looks ace, ie better than MSAA.  Give it a try

DLSS in MSFS looks better than without... on a 3070. If you have a 4090 and you can run native on ultra you will make things worse with DLSS

Implementation is key

You can have amazing results with DLSS and you can have half baked dog's breakfast

MSFS suffers from having DLSS reconstruct the entire image and the text elements especially suffer

The technology is not static, and is getting better with every iteration

Historically, I don’t believe many people have had a good experience with VR and simming using DLSS but don’t rule it out down the track. Anything that even helps a small degree might be useful.
