LuseKofte Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 I apologise if this bug do not got anything with the campaign. But I only encountered it in this campaign. Ofcourse that can be me flying it over and over again. But from first time some missions will not let you shoot the rockets and if you do it over again it might work. Now I encounter it more frequent. Is this a known issue? Same with some missions getting fogged down. needless to say, I find your campaign for this Huey very well done with excellent storyline and catch the very reason for why I bought the Huey. I am a history enthusiast and Vietnam war and its veterans are in a special place for me. And your campaign is a great tribute to these veterans. I am in awe for this masterpiece of a campaign

When you say "fogged down" do you mean there is an excessive amount of fog near the ground? I reported this issue to Reflected some time ago. I issue seemed to appear after a DCS update. Stopped me from flying the campaign until fixed.

In the editor I set maximum visibility so it’s as good as it gets with the current engine. as for the rockets, it’s gotta be some sort of switchology issue. Maybe you set the copilot to weapons free with the miniguns? You can’t fire rockets while he does that. Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord

No I had not, but I suspect it might be on my end. I just cannot replicate it in instant action. and other huey campaigns I fly do not have rockets. So I suppose it is not the campaign I however after reading this continued the mission. indeed the fog has improved
Keszi Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 Did you guys get any resolution to the rocket problem? I'm having something similar - on mission 08 - when I fire the rockets, nothing happens. Well, at least that's what I initially thought, but then, went to external view, and realized that the rockets are firint at around an angle of 310 degrees from bearing. Sometimes one of the rockets actually blows up the helo, so other times they just fly to the side. Copilot is in ready state or whatever the green non firing status is. I've also tested it in a training mission, and it works as it should over there. Anybody seen something similar? I've attached a tacview. (didn't fly all the way to the target for the recording - just took off and fired some rounds) Tacview-20240831-233232-DCS-Paradise Lost - 08.zip.acmi
Reflected Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 (edited) Looks like it’s a general dcs bug Edited August 31, 2024 by Reflected Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
artao Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Apparantly (I've not personally tried) the 19-rocket launchers work, just not the 7-rocket launchers.
Keszi Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Ok, thanks for the info. I'll file a bug report and wait for the fix
BuzzinChowski Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 I get this too in mission 8 - they fire off to the right hand side. If you fire them on the ground they are fired at 45 degrees to the right.
