Captain_WintAIR Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 (edited) I created a mission where a MQ-9 is working as AFAC, designating a bunker with its laser. Laser code in the mission editor is set to "1735". During the 9-Line briefing the laser code is reported as "1688", later during the run, the laser code is also 1688 instead of the one set in ME. The task assigned to the AFAC was "FAC - Assign Group", Group was the bunker, Weapon "guided", Designation "laser", Laser code "1735" Edited October 14, 2023 by Captain_WintAIR
rob10 Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 You need to post the track file of that happening. You can get it in the mission debrief after you end the mission. You'll likely want to recreate the mission to be as short as possible with just this happening (longer tracks from longer missions tend to get corrupted during playback).
Captain_WintAIR Posted October 15, 2023 Author Posted October 15, 2023 Just recreated the mission with as little else as possible. AFAC, target, and F-16 (player). The AFAC's tasks/options are as previously described. The laser code used in the mission is the default 1688, not the one assigned in the ME. AFAC igrnores laser code REPORT.trk
Flappie Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 It seems like the default "FAC" command does not allow you to select the laser frequency. Your need to remove it so it does not conflict with your own "FAC" command. ---
Captain_WintAIR Posted October 16, 2023 Author Posted October 16, 2023 (edited) OK, so after some trial and error, the type must be "Start Enroute Task", action "FAC - Engage Group" and it must be at the AFAC's initial waypoint. If it is at a later waypoint, the AFAC will not show up in the COM menu. But that should work for my mission attempts. Thanks for the help. Edited October 16, 2023 by Captain_WintAIR
