Darcet Posted October 23, 2023 Posted October 23, 2023 running a reverb g2, it opens in MT mode in vr mode, it tracks for a split second but then stops, video is never displayed in the headset though. it opens in single threaded steamvr and runs as expected I've attached the associated st and mt logs dcsst.log dcsmt.log

Darcet Posted October 23, 2023 Author Posted October 23, 2023 that didn't help, I don't see the connection as that thread seems worried about performance and my issue is that the headset doesn't connect to the game on openxr while it does in steamvr. That being said, I did notice the first time I launched it with the manually set page file the head tracking did keep working after getting past the load screen but there was still no video being displayed in the headset. I tried again (still with the increased page file) and am still having the same issue I started with
Kagrack Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 Darcet, Can you confirm if you just run steamvr that it works fine in st and mt? It's only when you try to use openxr you have an issue?
Insonia Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 (edited) Your ST is running with SteamVR your MT is running with openXR Make sure you have setup your headset for openXR runtimes properly. Please use internet search guides about your headsets specific guides enabling it. you can add "--force_steam_VR" (without quote) as launch param in your shortcuts, force using steamVR runtimes. Darcet Posted October 24, 2023 Author Posted October 24, 2023 Yeah, It works in multi threading with steam vr, I was under a misconception and thought openxr only worked with mt and steamvr only opened in st. (I think I also had some misconceptions about openxr which i still dont quite understand) I'll amend my issue to say I can launch the game through steam vr, but it doesn't work when I launch the game with just the mixed reality portal open as I had been doing in previous versions which worked perfectly fine
Simonator Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 I am having exactly the same issue, though I removed steam VR as it was causing issues as well. I start the game and I can hear the theme music but get no image in my headset (G2). It was working fine before the update. It's getting very frustrating.
Awger Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 Works for me -- launch VR portal, wake-up G2, launch DCS MT+VR (OpenXR / non-steam). Only issue I've noted is that head position sometimes gets lost switching from external view. Version issue? I'm running a 3080ti with 536.23 and OpenXR 113.2309.7002. Got DLSS and all the other bells and whistles. .
Darcet Posted November 2, 2023 Author Posted November 2, 2023 updated our runtime version to the current preview version (113.2309.7002) using openxr tools on the windows store and it works now 1
