Hello! I have recently encountered an issue since 2.9 where Aircraft have a shadow of themselves just slightly lagging behind the plane and the internals do too when you move your camera or roll the the aircraft, I have tried different settings, repairing the game, updating drivers and nothing of it worked so I have to resort to asking here. I hope someone can help me find a solution.

Please share a screen shot of your DCS graphics settings.

The most common culprit for poor shadows in 2.9 is using SSS with DLSS.

This video may help but exactly which setting work best does involve a lot of personal preference.

It is not actual shadows, I don't know what to call it. but these pictures should show what I mean, particularly the top of the dash in the cockpit photos.

Specs:
OS:Windows 11
CPU:AMD Ryzen 7950X3D
GPU:AMD Radeon 7900XTX
RAM:64GB DDR5 5600MHZ from corsair
Storage:2TB 980 PRO

Mind you, VSYNC is off because I usually play in VR and this issue is also present there

Those look like temporal artefacts from using FSR and/or TAA? AFAIK most players using flat screens have been ok but the artefacts are much more noticeable in VR.

Unfortunately FSR and DLSS aren't magic, so do have disadvantages. As this is WIP perhaps it'll improve in the future.

Hopefully someone with a similar setup to yourself can chime in with some setting tweaks.

That could be it actually, I have always tried either FSR or TAA but haven't touched MSAA in a while, it's pretty much the only thing I didn't try

Yup, it was it, thank you for helping me realize that I was dumb enough not to change the TAA to MSAA, I completely forgot TAA was new!
