Greetings,

This happened during a long MP session. I was over 2 hours in, still same aircraft after 2-3 rearms and George has performed quite nicely so far (as pilot and gunner).

I have a track file but as it's from a MP session it's very long and over 300 MB...

George as gunner suddenly stopped looking for targets when tasked to do so. Hopping into the gunner seat I tried cycling the weapons, master arm on/off etc.. Same in the pilot position via the AI menu. Nothing helped to make George scan for targets again.

When I switched to gunner seat I saw that the left MPD WPN button would be mashed when I switched menus (c.f. video)
I checked controls to see if there may be a funky keybind but that button wasn't assigned to anything for the gunner role.

Did the AI get "stuck" at some point?
And does ghost inputs on gunner screens even though the player switched to the gunner seat?

Hi @boerdi

It does look like a weird bug. But without watching the exact events it's hard to say what's going on. I understand the track is too big and yeah, it would probably not be useful.

I tried several long missions in 2.9 already and never had this issue. You said George stopped responding, was he alive in mission? You could have been shot and he got hit. Again, hard to say without more context.

All I can say is that it really looks like a controller command being sent. I trust your words you checked your inputs, so it has to be something else sending that command.

Keep an eye out for this one. If you or anybody else is able to replicate in a short track, please send it over.

Over those 2+ hours I switched roles with George here and there with George most of the time in the gunner role.
George was alive and when I was in the pilot seat he reacted to all commands (e.g. weapon switch) except for the "short up" search command.

The last event before George stopped responding (and the "ghost" inputs popping up) was rearming/refueling at a FARP.

I double checked the keybinds and on the CP/G profile the MPD buttons/axis categories definitely were completely unbound for all devices.

Will keep an eye out if it happens again

Hi - I have also have the same intermitent issue as the OP i.e. the WPN button being pressed (Ghost) repeatedly in CPG. It prevents:

  • Continuous Lasing.
  • Slaving from Pilot seat.
  • Jerky/ stutter movement with  Man Trk on TAD
  • Changing to any other page on the MFD.

I checked control assignments and there are none set for the WPN button so it isn't a hardware conflict. Also it is strange that this is happening on multiple setups / PC.

Although rare (ish) it has happened multiple times

Track uploaded - issue starts to happen in the last 5mins (guess) when the CPG Man Trk appears jerky.  I then realise and change page on the left MFD which then shows the WPN button continually being pressed (Ghost) AT 18.07 (track time).
