investigating Huey Co-Pilot Arming UI

One thing I have noticed lately is the UI for arming the co-pilot no longer is working.  For example when I arm the Co-pilot and side gunners it shows a graphic on the bottom left differnt stages of arming.  But for co-pilot its blank where in the past it showed just like the side gunners.  I have attached a screen shot.

I've never seen this UI presented like this before. Is this new, or is it a mod?

Maybe I miss understand the issue, when I change seats to co pilot for example the icon changes. 

default keybind is ralt + win + enter

Im flying as the Pilot.  I then Arm the CO-Pilot then the side-gunners  I hit Left control + 2 (First time brings the scope down, then second arms the weapons for the co-pilot)  Same as the side gunners.  Ever time you hit it the little graphic is supposed to show the status.  But if you look at the Picture the Co-pilot status is empty.
