Tree_Beard Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 I’ve tried out a couple free options just found on Google and was not very impressed with the results. If someone has discovered a good option, let me know.
Solution rob10 Posted November 4, 2023 Solution Posted November 4, 2023 I use Elevenlabs.io It gives you lots of options for voices and you can tweak the voices to create even more different voices. You need to play around with what you use as text to get the results you want. Sometimes you need to spell things more phonetically rather than grammatically correctly to get it pronounced the way you want (for example for co-ordinates, I use co-ordinits to get it to sound the way I want. Also using 2 comma's will give you a slightly longer pause between words (or numbers) i.e. when giving co-ordinates (i.e use "North 2,, 3,, point 4,, 3,, 4" rather than "North 2 3 point 4 3 4"). 4 1

sirrah Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 I have used this for many/most of my missions: https://github.com/akaAgar/radio-message-generator Type text -> Select voice -> generate ogg file Sure, full voice overs is unbeatable, but if you don't have the time to arange all that, this tool is gold. The guy who made this deserves a medal imho. Not required, but additionally, I also used Audacity (freeware) to add some extra different background noise wav files. Heatblur's Tomcat has some very nice sound files that you can use (like ECS sounds). You can check out the results in my "F-15E Raqqa Strike" mission, or "301 Redskins" Apache mini campaign. 2 1 System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM - Realsimulator FSSB-R3 ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH
rob10 Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Audacity is awesome for editing/tweaking/adding effects once you have your basic sound file. 1
